It is necessary not only to discuss with the child what fraud is and how to recognize it, but also to build a trusting relationship so that in case of a threat from outside he can seek help. This was stated on March 8 by the psychologist of Online School No. 1, Kira Goldstein, in an interview withГазета.Ru ".

"Talk to your child about what fraud is and how to recognize it. It is important to form an intuitive sense of danger in children. Real—life examples can be used in the dialogue, but it is important not to inspire excessive fear," the expert said, adding that it is important not to overdo it.

According to Goldstein, it is necessary to explain to the child that it is not necessary to respond to calls for urgent action — in such cases, you should contact an adult.

The specialist also urged not to criticize the child for being deceived. Children should not feel guilty or consider themselves stupid, especially when thousands of adults are confronted with fraud.

So, it is necessary to sort out what happened with the child so that this does not happen again, and provide him with support, Goldstein explained.

She added that conversations about fraud should be regular. This is necessary so that he can resist manipulation and knows how to act in such situations.

In addition, the expert advised parents to remain balanced and confident when they have to deal with scammers.

"When a child sees that a parent is not panicking, but is showing patience and wisdom, it teaches him that any difficult situation can be overcome, and as a result forms a healthy self—esteem and a correct attitude to the world," Goldstein concluded.

Earlier, on March 6, it was reported that the police in Yelets (Lipetsk region) were conducting an investigation into fraud involving an 11-year-old girl. The schoolgirl transferred funds from her mother's account. The minor received a message in the messenger, allegedly from a friend, who asked the girl to take her mother's phone and dictate the codes from SMS messages. 211 thousand rubles were written off from the woman's account.
