In the United States, since the inauguration of President Donald Trump, more than a dozen violent or destructive acts have been committed against the facilities of billionaire Elon Musk's companies. This was reported by The Washington Post (WP) on Saturday, March 8.

"The anger directed at the tech billionaire on the internet is increasingly spilling over into real life, with vandalism targeting Tesla store windows, charging stations, and vehicles," the newspaper said.

In March, several Tesla charging stations at a mall in Littleton, Massachusetts, were set on fire. Vandals in Maryland also spray-painted No Musk on a Tesla building along with a swastika-like symbol.

The Tesla store in Salem, Oregon, has been repeatedly attacked — once a man shot the window with a semi-automatic weapon and once again the same assailant threw molotov cocktails at electric cars.

"Regardless of whether it's politically motivated or not, arson and destruction of property is not the way to get your point across," said Matthew Pinard, police chief of Littleton, where several Tesla charging stations caught fire last week.

On the Truth Social network on March 7, Trump called on Musk to use a "scalpel instead of an axe" when optimizing the number of employees of federal agencies. According to him, it is necessary to reduce employees in federal departments, but it is important to retain the best and most effective employees.

On February 28, Bloomberg reported that the United States was facing a drain of technical personnel from the government due to massive cuts initiated by DOGE.
