The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has begun lie detector testing employees to identify those responsible for leaking information to the media about migration operations. This was reported on March 8 by NBC News.

Border Commissioner Tom Homan and Homeland Security Secretary Kristy Noem attributed the lower-than-expected number of arrests to recent leaks of information about cities where police planned to conduct operations.

According to sources familiar with the current use of polygraphs, so-called lie detectors are now being used to ask employees across the agency specific questions about leaked classified documents or confidential information.

"We have identified two individuals leaking information here at the Department of Homeland Security, who told people about our operations and endangered the lives of law enforcement officers," Noem said in a video message posted on the X network.

Officials from some US agencies, including the Pentagon, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the State Department and the office coordinating the activities of the US special services decided on February 23 to sabotage the order of the head of the Department of State Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk, telling his subordinates not to comply with his demand.
