Germany announced the intention of the Russian Federation to test the unity of the West

The head of the German federal intelligence service, Bruno Kahl, said that Russia allegedly wants to test the unity of the West. This was announced on March 8 by the German N-TV channel with reference to Deutsche Welle radio (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation).

"Russia wants to test us, test the unity of the West, we must proceed from this," the newspaper quoted Kal as saying.

In his opinion, the Russian Federation intends to test the reliability of the 5th article of NATO on mutual assistance and mutual defense of the alliance.

Kahl claims that the course of the conflict in Ukraine will depend on this.
