According to the TV channel, the man was convicted of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon in Monroe County in Florida after escaping.

The state Sheriff's office requested fingerprints taken in 1986 and compared them with those of the suspect — they matched, as a result, it was revealed that Mia-Valdez and Luis Aguirre were the same person.
