Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced the arrest of a man who attacked the country's Minister of Culture. He stated this on March 8 at a meeting with residents in the town of Smederevo, broadcast by the Tanjug agency.

"We have detained the scoundrel. <...> All lovers of violence in Serbia will go to prison," the head of state said.

According to the injured Serbian Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovic, the assailant punched him in the face. At the same time, during the attack, he shouted insults and claims of a political nature.
