In Thailand, a Russian man saved Finnish tourists from rape


In Thailand, a Russian man saved two Finnish tourists from three foreigners who tried to rape them. This was reported by The Nation newspaper on Saturday, March 8.
The incident occurred in Phuket.
According to police, a 44-year-old Russian citizen suffered facial injuries as a result of a fight when he was protecting the girls from an attack. The victim was taken to the hospital for examination, his condition is stable.
"Two women <...> they informed the police that they were in their hotel room when the three men <...> they broke in there and tried to rape them," the publication says.
Tourists from Finland said that a Russian was passing by the room when he saw the incident. "The newspaper.Ru" clarifies that the attackers attacked him, and then left the hotel.
In March 2024, the Kempten court in Germany found a US citizen guilty of the murder, rape and attempted murder of two tourists near Neuschwanstein Castle and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
