The head of the Investigative Committee requested a report on the case of an emergency at a circus in the Samara region.

The head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has requested a report on the circumstances of the collapse of the stands in a traveling circus in Neftegorsk, Samara region. The agency announced this on March 8.

It is noted that a criminal case has already been opened into the incident regarding the provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers.

"Bastrykin <...> instructed the acting head of the Investigative Department. — Ed.) The Investigative Committee of Russia for the Samara region [Alexander] Voevodin <...> to submit a report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and the established circumstances," the UK Telegram channel says.

A podium with spectators collapsed in a traveling circus in Neftegorsk a day earlier. According to the Izvestia source, the height of the podium was no more than 3 m, and there were 20 people on it. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, seven people were injured in the collapse.

As Anastasia, a visitor to the performance, told Izvestia, the audience was sitting on benches that were practically not fixed. She added that the organizers rushed to help the victims only after they had removed all the decorations.
