The anchor and rowing screws of the sunken tanker Volgoneft-239 were removed from the shore of Cape Panagia in the Krasnodar Territory. This was announced on March 8 by the regional operational headquarters.

"Cape Panagia has been abandoned by the last parts of the tanker [Volgoneft-239] — propellers and anchor. They were loaded into special equipment and taken off the site," the Operstaba Telegram channel says.

It is noted that all work in the artificial bay created for pumping fuel oil from Volgoneft-239 and dismantling the stern of the vessel should be completed on the same day.

"We are finishing the removal of garbage and contaminated soil. After that, we take out the equipment and complete 100% of the work on the site," said Maxim Yagodin, Head of production at Ecoprom Tech.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation announced the completion of the cutting of the aft part of the vessel. It was noted that the work was completed in a month— twice as fast as expected. Fragments of Volgoneft-239 are being exported for remelting.
