The Israeli Air Force has eliminated a field commander of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. This was announced on March 8 by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in its Telegram channel.

It is explained that the victim was engaged in the restoration of traffic infrastructure and directed the organization's activities in the southern part of Lebanon.

"The IDF will continue to act to eliminate any threat to Israel and prevent any attempt to rebuild Hezbollah," the IDF concluded.

Earlier, on March 4, Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov told Izvestia that Israeli strikes were destabilizing the situation on the Lebanese-Syrian border in the northeast of the country. According to him, the IDF conducts its operations under the pretext of countering the alleged illegal import of weapons into Lebanon from Syria.
