- Skier Klebo broke the Vyalbe record for the number of gold medals at a single World Cup

Norwegian skier Johannes Klebo won his sixth gold medal at the 2025 World Championships, surpassing three–time Olympic champion Elena Vyalbe in the total number of wins at one world championship.
In the men's mass start, which took place in Trondheim (Norway) on March 8, the athlete overcame the distance the fastest, ahead of Sweden's William Poromaa, who became the second, and Norway's Simon Krueger, who took the third place.
For five-time Olympic champion Klebo, this is the 15th gold medal at the World Championships. In addition, the 28-year-old skier, in addition to winning the Olympics and world championships, has four World Cups to his credit.
The day before, the Swedish women's national team won first place in the 4x7.5 km relay of the 2025 World Cup. Emma Ribom, Frida Karlsson, Ebba Andersson and Jonna Sundling covered the distance in 1 hour 15 minutes 41.5 seconds.
