Gymnast Chusovitina, who competed for the USSR, won the World Cup at the age of 49


Oksana Chusovitina, a representative of Uzbekistan, who previously competed for the USSR national team, won the vault competition at the Gymnastics World Cup in Baku on Saturday, March 8.
The athlete scored 13.516 points by performing a Tsukahara jump with one and a half turns. The second place was taken by Thea Belak from Slovenia with a score of 13.366 points, and the third place was taken by her compatriot Tyasa Kisselef with a score of 13.283 points.
In the summer of 2021, Chusovitina announced her retirement from sports, but soon resumed participating in competitions. During her athletic career, she became the only gymnast who participated in eight Olympic Games.
On February 23, Chusovitina won the bronze medal at the World Cup in Cottbus, Germany, with a score of 13.249 points.
