A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian army defeated the infrastructure of military airfields, an energy facility that supports the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, production workshops, storage depots and control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as enemy manpower and equipment concentrations in 148 districts.

The destruction of infrastructure seriously undermines the work of the enemy's military-industrial complex, experts believe.

In addition, air defense systems shot down five JDAM guided aerial bombs, a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) projectile, as well as 178 aircraft-type drones.

The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front line. Ukrainian troops lost over 595 soldiers, a Leopard tank, and three armored combat vehicles in this area. The Russian army also destroyed two pickup trucks and three artillery pieces.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 656 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 45,649 UAVs, 600 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,083 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,523 MLRS combat vehicles, 22,348 field artillery and mortars, and 32,595 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
