The new Soviet passenger steam locomotive was tested

Tests of a new Soviet passenger steam locomotive built at the Voroshilovgrad plant named after the October Revolution have ended. This is reported by the newspaper Izvestia.
"In difficult operating conditions on the front—line roads, the locomotive made a successful run of 50,000 km," the newspaper said in a March 25, 1945 publication.
There were exactly 45 days left until the Great Victory.
The steam locomotive, developing the speed of locomotives, consumes 2-2.5 times less fuel, the message emphasizes.
The material was published as part of the Izvestia special project "80 days to Victory."
