The airports of Vladikavkaz and Grozny temporarily do not accept or dispatch aircraft. This was announced on Saturday, March 8, by the press secretary of the Federal Air Transport Agency (FAFT) Artem Korenyako.

It is specified that the restrictions were introduced at 03:13 Moscow time in order to ensure security.

"The crews of the armed forces, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety – this is the main priority," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that temporary restrictions had been imposed on the operation of Saratov Airport. After that, they were removed. As Korenyako pointed out, restrictions were imposed to ensure the safety of flights of civil aircraft.
