At least 25% of Russian women experienced bullying because of their appearance in adolescence and another 17% in childhood. This follows on Saturday, March 8, from the research of the company "Where are my children".

At the same time, according to the newspaper "Gazeta.Ru", which reviewed the results of this study, 28% of respondents had not personally encountered bullying, but had witnessed bullying, and 30% had never encountered bullying in their lives.

"Among the most common causes of bullying were: weight and figure — 51%; clothing style — 42%; facial features (eyes, nose, lips, etc.) — 37%. Height (13%), skin condition (11%) and hair (10%) were less likely to be the cause of ridicule," the study says.

Earlier, on January 21, Izvestia got acquainted with a study by the analytical center of the National Agency for Financial Research (NAFI), which reported that two thirds of Russians surveyed (63%) had experienced insults and rudeness on the Internet. It was noted that men are more often the objects of insults (67% versus 60% of women), as well as young Russians under 24 (76%), who are more actively involved in discussions or disputes on the Internet than others.
