Businesswomen from Russia have a number of characteristic features, which Flowwow and Modulbank's research helped to combine into one portrait. She told about it on March 8. "Газета.Ru ".

"The largest share of women entrepreneurs is concentrated in Moscow (25%) and St. Petersburg (10%). The Moscow Region, Novosibirsk Region, Krasnodar Territory and Sverdlovsk Region are the leaders among the regions. At the same time, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk and Samara became the leaders in niche marketplaces after the capitals," the authors of the study reported.

The majority (70.3%) choose the format of individual entrepreneurship for themselves. At the same time, 29.7% of respondents reported the establishment of limited liability companies (LLC).

Retail remains the leader among the ways of doing business, especially in the field of electronic sales. This option accounts for 26% of female entrepreneurs. Construction and related services and works are in second place with an indicator of 8.2%. With an indicator of 6.5%, the third place was taken by the field of education — both children's and additional vocational training (vocational training).

"Among female entrepreneurs who have chosen marketplaces as their main sales channel, 68.6% conduct business exclusively in online format, while 31.4% combine it with offline trading. The hybrid model allows sellers to increase their total income: sales through offline channels bring entrepreneurs more than 20% additional income per year," said Vera Modenova, Chief Operating Officer of the Flowwow flower and gift marketplace.

On universal marketplaces, most businesswomen choose the clothing trade for themselves. 34% of women and girls work in this field. Also among the popular categories are "Beauty and health" (12%). And 9% of businesswomen focused on selling accessories, shoes and jewelry.

On the eve of International Women's Day, it became known that the number of women entrepreneurs in Russia has grown to 1.8 million. In 34 regions of the country, the proportion of female sole proprietors exceeded the national average. The leaders in the share of women's entrepreneurship were the Luhansk People's Republic (57.8%), the Donetsk People's Republic (55.5%), the Republic of Tyva (55.1%), the Zaporizhia region (52.1%) and the Republic of Buryatia (50.0%).
