The operator of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with the call sign June spoke about the service and showed flight training on the eve of International Women's Day, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reports.
"The UAV operator with the call sign June of the 157th separate logistics brigade of the Zapad group of forces professionally performs its tasks in the area of a special military operation," the military department said.
The operator's responsibilities include testing drones and hexocopters, which are being upgraded or repaired in a repair shop or laboratory at the compound.
"I've been here for two years now. I worked as a nurse for a year, and a year ago I started working on drones. I wanted to provide more assistance to our fighters, because with the help of drones it is possible to transport ammunition, some food, water. But mostly it's ammunition," June said.
In the near future, she will deliver the necessary supplies to the positions of our fighters on the line of contact.
June has been participating in the special military operation zone for more than two years as a medical instructor. After that, she expressed a desire to change her activities to a UAV operator, where she carries out her service with pride and honor," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
On March 8, the Ministry of Defense spoke about the role of military women during the Great Patriotic War. It is noted that during the Great Patriotic War, many women served as snipers, scouts, signallers, medics, pilots and gunners, ensured the uninterrupted operation of rear units and formations, demonstrating exceptional courage and resilience.
