- Columbia University in the United States was stripped of $400 million in grants due to anti-Semitism

The administration of US President Donald Trump has ordered that Columbia University be stripped of $400 in funding due to anti-Semitism. This is reported by CNN, citing officials.
"Universities must comply with all federal anti-discrimination laws if they are going to receive federal funding. For too long, Columbia has reneged on this commitment to Jewish students enrolled on its campus," said Secretary of Education Linda McMahon.
She later said that she had a "productive meeting" with the university administration.
"The university was at the forefront of the protests on US campuses over the war last spring. Pro-Palestinian demonstrators set up camp in April and inspired a wave of similar protests. Protesters at Columbia University seized the campus building, leading to dozens of arrests as police cleared the building.
On March 5, pro-Palestinian protesters staged a demonstration at the Barnard College Library. It is specified that several arrests were made, but it is not yet known exactly how many.
