A Munich court has sentenced a man who killed two Ukrainians to life in prison. This was announced on Thursday, March 7, by the N-TV channel.

"A Russian man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of two Ukrainian soldiers in Bavaria," the publication says.

As indicated, two Ukrainian soldiers were in Bavaria for treatment. The incident occurred in April 2024. All the participants in the incident were on friendly terms.

According to the TV channel, three men gathered to have a drink, but a conflict broke out between them. It is assumed that the reason for the altercation is the conflict in Ukraine. Afterwards, the accused returned home intoxicated and armed himself with a knife. He broke into the apartment of one of his acquaintances and stabbed two Ukrainians aged 23 and 26.

The defendant received a life sentence without the possibility of early release after 15 years, as the crime was committed with aggravating circumstances, the newspaper said.

Earlier, on January 22, it was reported that at least two people were killed and several injured in a stabbing in the German city of Aschaffenburg. According to preliminary data, several people were injured by cold steel. According to the newspaper, there is a child among the dead.
