In Chelyabinsk, about 500 storm water wells will be deconservated at the end of March. Specialists of MBU Yuzhnoye will be engaged in restoration work, the press service of the city Hall reported on Friday, March 7.

The recent cold snap has caused the culverts to freeze. This created problems in the Industrial Settlement and on Nagornaya Street, where pedestrian and automobile bridges turned out to be almost impassable.

The team will have to remove the protective roofing material, remove the grilles, and clean the pipes. Work will begin on the city's boulevards after the start of heavy snowmelt. According to IA Amurmedia, it is in the lowlands that the main part of the storm drains is concentrated and the greatest influx of meltwater is expected.

Earlier, utilities fixed a similar problem on the streets of Ulyanovsk, Kim and Zheleznodorozhnaya. Pipes froze there due to heavy water discharges onto the terrain.

Earlier it was reported that a dilapidated bridge over the Levaya Silinka River was repaired in the Khabarovsk Territory. A lighting system was installed at the ferry, as well as a pedestrian zone fenced off from the roadway.
