Putin congratulates Russians on International Women's Day

On March 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian women on International Women's Day.

"Dear women of Russia! I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of International Women's Day. Our country traditionally has a special, very warm and sincere attitude towards this wonderful holiday," he said.

The President noted that women do everything in time: they take care of their children and achieve amazing success in various fields of activity, combining strength and fragility, courage and tenderness, and always conquering with their beauty and charm. And, of course, women inspire men to do wonderful things, to strive to achieve more, to become better, to be true defenders of their family, home, and Homeland.

"You can control the most important thing — the miracle of the birth of a new life. And the sensitivity and generosity of a mother's heart, the warmth of maternal love transform and beautify the world around us. Being a mother is a great happiness and at the same time a difficult, strenuous work," Putin stressed.

The President also announced the state's plans to continue to do everything so that mothers, families with children, especially those with many children, feel the support they need and see that their interests are at the center of the state's attention.

"The warmest words to the women who are currently in a particularly difficult place are the participants in a special military operation. You are in different parts of it, both in frontline hospitals and on the front line, and you always carry out combat missions with honor," he said.

Putin separately addressed the women, whose husbands, fathers, brothers and loved ones are now protecting the future of Russia.

"Your sincere concern, unwavering care and your love and loyalty give strength to our fighters, strengthen their spirit and unwavering faith that the truth, and therefore victory, is on our side," he said.

Putin drew attention to the fact that much of life is based on women, on their talents, creative energy, love and the utmost responsibility with which they undertake any task.

"I repeat, we always admire your beauty, tenderness, and charm. I would like to wish you success, health and well-being. All the best to you and your loved ones. Be happy with those who are dear to you. Happy International Women's Day!" concluded the President of Russia.
