Experts told about the highest-paid office profession


According to the results of the winter of 2024/25, the highest-paid office specialty is the position of an engineer in the production and technical department (VET), who is offered a salary of about 110,714 rubles per month. This is stated in the Avito Work study, which was reviewed by Izvestia on March 10.
Engineering and technical specialties are traditionally the leaders in the list of highly paid office professions. In addition to VET engineers who organize production documentation and control construction processes, environmentalists are included in the rating. Their average salary was 101,448 rubles per month.
A manufacturing engineer with a salary of 94,657 rubles per month (+3% per year) took the fifth place in the rating. These specialists are responsible for the development and optimization of production processes. The fourth place was taken by architects, who are offered an average of 95,437 rubles per month (+2%). Architects are engaged in the design of buildings and structures, as well as the development of project documentation.
Completing the ranking is the profession of a designer with a salary of 87,500 rubles per month for beginners (+47% per year). Designers specialize in creating technical solutions for construction, including calculations and selection of materials.
In the retail industry, one of the highest-paying positions has become a supervisor. The average salary of such specialists increased by 8% over the year and amounted to 99,235 rubles per month. Supervisors manage sales teams, monitor the completion of tasks, and ensure compliance with company standards.
Appraisers are also in demand in the trade, offering an average of 90 129 rubles per month (+33% per year). These specialists analyze the product range and determine the market value of goods and services.
In addition, there is an increasing demand for sales representatives in this sector. Their average salary increased by 11% and reached 86,650 rubles per month.
Earlier, on January 15, it was reported that one in three Russians surveyed (28%) planned to change jobs in 2025. This was mentioned in the results of the study of the Russian School of Management. Among the most common reasons for such a decision are low wages (47% of respondents answered this way), lack of opportunities for professional growth (45%), and lack of career prospects (39%).
