A policeman was killed in Gorlovka while repelling an attack by a Ukrainian drone

In Gorlovka, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Senior police Sergeant Yevgeny Pogulyaev died while repelling an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on March 7 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region in the Telegram channel.

"While repelling an attack by UAVs of the armed formations of Ukraine on the territory of the Nikitovsky district of Horlivka, senior police Sergeant Yevgeny Pogulyaev, born in 1994, was seriously injured," the ministry said in a statement.

It is specified that the group, which included Pogulyaev, repelled the attack of several enemy drones at once. At the same time, the policeman received severe wounds, from which he later died in hospital. His colleagues were injured.

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said on March 6 that 11 people, including employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, were injured in attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the region. In addition, 28 houses and eight infrastructure facilities were damaged, including two administrative buildings, a kindergarten, a temple, a library, a hotel and a shop.
