- Astana is negotiating with Kiev after the attack of drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the CPC

Kazakhstan contacted Ukraine after the drone attack on the oil pumping station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). This was stated by Alibek Zhamauov, the country's Vice Minister of Energy.
He clarified that at the moment the station is undergoing repairs, as well as reconstruction work. Earlier, the station's Telegram channel reported that the repair work would take about two months.
"We do not yet have information about any claims against the parties, our services are negotiating with the Ukrainian side through diplomatic channels," TASS quoted him as saying at a press conference.
On February 17, drones attacked an oil pumping station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. It is specified that there are no casualties among the staff. The workers were able to prevent the threat of an oil spill. At the moment, the Kropotkinskaya oil refining station has been decommissioned.
On February 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a strike on the plant would affect global energy markets, including potentially triggering high energy prices. He added that there are no Russian air defense systems at the CPC facilities, and also stressed that Western equipment was damaged there, which cannot be quickly restored.
