- The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has declared the activities of a Latvian NGO undesirable.

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has declared the activities of the Latvian non-governmental organization (NGO) Association for the Development of Russian Civil Society and Support for Russian Emigrants (AREM) undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation.
It is indicated that the organization was founded by Latvian citizens in Riga in 2018.
"On behalf of the chairman of the association's board, negative materials about the Russian Armed Forces, as well as slogans justifying terrorist acts in Russia, are being distributed on the Internet," the Prosecutor General's Office said on March 7.
In addition, the organization called for protests during election campaigns, and openly supported anti-Russian sanctions.
"Information discrediting state authorities and law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation is published on the AREM information resources," the Prosecutor General's Office added.
Earlier, on March 3, the agency recognized the undesirable activities of two Belgian NGOs — the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party and its youth organization European Liberal Youth. It was noted that both organizations advocate the international isolation of Russia and the build-up of anti-Russian sanctions, as well as openly support the Kiev regime.
