The union called for a 24-hour strike at almost all airports in Germany.

The Ver.di trade union has called on employees at almost all German airports to take part in a 24-hour strike on Monday. This was reported on March 7 by Reuters with reference to the statement.
Union representatives warned on Friday that passengers should prepare for massive departure and arrival restrictions, including flight cancellations.
The union demands an 8% salary increase or at least 350 euros per month, as well as an increase in bonuses and additional vacation time. Representatives of Frankfurt Airport advised passengers to refrain from visiting it.
On February 13, a strike by members of the Ver.di trade union also took place in the central district of Munich. On the same day, an Afghan citizen drove into a crowd of protesters, injuring 30 people.
Before that, on February 7, more than 100,000 passengers at German airports were unable to board their flights due to the strike. According to the German portal Zeit Online, it lasted 27 hours.
