The expenses of women in car service stations were higher than those of men

Women's spending on car maintenance and repair in Russia turned out to be higher than that of men. This was reported on March 7 by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to a study of the Fit Service car service network.
So, according to the results of the first two months of 2025, the average receipts for car maintenance and repair for women amounted to 12.1 thousand rubles. The average cost of a visit to a service station for men was 6% lower and amounted to 11.4 thousand rubles. Every fifth visit to the car service was made by a woman, and last year — only every sixth.
In the first two months of last year, the average check for women at a service station amounted to 9.4 thousand rubles, their expenses increased by 27% over the year. For men, the spending dynamics is even higher — 30%.
As the analysts explained, since female drivers are usually more disciplined, careful and responsible car owners, they tend to fix them more often and faster when detecting malfunctions. The proportion of women among customers is growing, and this may indicate that women are less likely to delegate a visit to a service station to men, said Tatiana Ovchinnikova, director of the Fit Service car service network.
The day before, it was reported that 78,040 new passenger cars were sold in Russia over the last winter month, which is 24.9% less than in February 2024. Lada remains the most popular car brand, with its share rising to 31%.
