Some of the relics from the Kiev Pechersk Lavra can be exported abroad after an inspection by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. This was announced on March 7 by a source in the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC).

"It is definitely impossible to exclude this," the source said, answering a question from TASS.

The day before, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine announced that a special commission would assess the condition and safety of the relics of saints in the Near and Far caves of the Kiev Caves Lavra.

On January 27, a court in Ukraine suspended the case of the eviction of monks from the Kiev Pechersk Lavra until the case of the unilateral termination of the agreement on the use of the Lower Lavra was fully considered. On January 4, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Moscow could only welcome the profile report of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) with conclusions on the harassment of supporters of the Orthodox Canonical Church in Ukraine.
