Russia to host World Choral Games

Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, met in Moscow with a delegation from the international organization Interculture, headed by Matthias Mosdorf, Honorary President of the Organizing Committee of the World Choral Federation and the Interculture Association.
During the negotiations, the initiative to hold the World Choral Games in Russia in 2027, the largest international choral competition organized by the Interkultur Association for more than 20 years, was discussed. This project is aimed at developing international exchange and preserving national traditions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation actively supports the initiative, considering it as an important step in strengthening international humanitarian ties.
"We are glad that such a significant competition was proposed to be held in Russia. It is important not only to involve young people in cultural heritage, but also to preserve the memory of events that played a key role in the history of our country. On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, we especially emphasize the importance of preserving traditions and respecting the heroic past," said Anton Kobyakov.
The World Choral Games are held over 11 days and include 28 categories of competitions. Traditionally, the competition program gathers about 25 thousand participants from more than 70 countries.
"This competition unites cultures, creating a unique space for dialogue and creativity. We are glad that Russia will take part in this project, because it has a rich tradition of choral art. We are confident that the Games in Russia will become a bright event in the international cultural calendar," emphasized Matthias Mosdorf.
For the effective preparation and holding of the Games, the Roscongress Foundation and the Interculture Association have signed a cooperation agreement that will combine the expert potential of the parties, attract a wide international audience and create all the conditions for holding the event at a high level.
The Interculture Association supports 140 representative offices worldwide and the World Choral Council, which includes leading experts in the field of choral art from 96 regions and countries.
