The results of the presidential elections in Abkhazia in 2025 have already yielded positive results. This was announced on March 7 by Alexander Brod, a member of the Human Rights Council (HRC), at a briefing.
"We see that the results of the voting have already yielded positive results.: This is a meeting of the presidents of the Russian Federation and Abkhazia, where important issues of energy supply and further development of the republic were discussed," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
He also added that the elections were held strictly according to the legislation of the republic, openly and democratically. According to his owls, observers from candidates, as well as international representatives from Germany, France, Venezuela and Kenya were present at the polling stations.
In addition, Brod noted that the recent elections have shown a significant increase in the legal culture of Abkhazia.
Earlier, on March 1, the second round of presidential elections was held in Abkhazia. According to the results of the second round, Badra Gunba won 56.85% of the votes, excluding "against all" ballots. The Central Election Commission of Abkhazia approved his victory on March 3.
On March 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Gunba met, where the Russian leader congratulated his Abkhaz counterpart on his victory in the last presidential election.
