A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Armed Forces (AF) carried out seven group strikes with precision weapons and attack UAVs during the week, as a result of which the infrastructure of military airfields of the Ukrainian troops, ammunition depots, production workshops, temporary deployment points of the armed formations of Ukraine, nationalists and foreign mercenaries were hit.

Also on the night of March 7, Russian forces launched a group strike with high-precision long-range air, sea and land-based weapons, as well as drones at gas and energy infrastructure facilities that provided the Ukrainian military-industrial complex (MIC).

The military added that during the week, air defense systems eliminated 21 JDAM guided aerial bombs and five American multiple rocket launchers HIMARS, as well as 637 aircraft-type drones.

In addition, 35 Ukrainian soldiers surrendered in the combat zone from March 1 to March 7.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 656 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 45,471 UAVs, 600 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM), 22,076 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,523 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 22,333 field artillery and mortars, 32,573 units of special equipment have been destroyed. military vehicles.
