Zakharova ridiculed Lithuania's report on threats from Russia and China

On March 7, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova ridiculed Lithuania's report on threats from Russia, China and Belarus, advising them to think about holy water and aspen stake.
The document claims that the Russian Federation is allegedly organizing sabotage in order to "damage the West, avoiding open conflict." In addition, Lithuanian intelligence agencies believe that Moscow is trying to "undermine the trust of Western society in institutions and reduce the support of Ukraine from politicians."
"Lithuania's special services have released a report in which they named Russia, Belarus and China as the main threats to the republic. We forgot to mention holy water and an aspen stake in this row," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
On December 25, 2024, Zakharova announced that Russia had filed pre-trial claims against Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia because of discrimination against Russians in these countries. According to her, all available international judicial mechanisms will be used against States that discriminate on their territories.
