- The student of the Moscow university was detained on suspicion of participation in "Azov" and "RDK"

A student of a Moscow university was detained on suspicion of participating in the Ukrainian nationalist group Azov (recognized as a terrorist, banned in the Russian Federation) and the organization of the Russian Volunteer Corps (recognized as a terrorist, banned in the Russian Federation). This was announced on March 7 by a source of Izvestia.
In August 2023, the girl went to Georgia and settled in a hostel where members of the "RDK" accommodate all willing "recruits" and collected money for the organization, the interlocutor shared.
It is noted that in 2022, a student, while in Moscow, joined the group via the Internet, where she was assigned the call sign "Eva". However, she later moved to Turkey, after which the suspect contacted representatives of RDK, and also offered to attract new members to the organization and raise funds for it.
At the same time, in the summer of 2024, the girl returned to the capital, enrolled in a local university and engaged in illegal activities through social networks to recruit new members of the organization.
At the moment, a criminal case has been opened against her for participation in terrorist activities.
Earlier, on February 24, the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) sentenced Maxim Melnikov, a Ukrainian serviceman of the Azov group, to 24 years in a high-security penal colony for the murder of a civilian in Mariupol. According to the investigation, in March 2022, the accused shot a civilian who was in the pharmacy building with a hand-held machine gun.
