In the European Union, US Vice President Vance was called an anti-European politician

In the European Union (EU), US Vice President Jay Dee Vance is considered an anti-European politician who is more dangerous than American leader Donald Trump. This was reported by Bloomberg on March 6.
According to the agency, Vance quickly became the main antagonist in the eyes of European officials. Most of all, Europeans were shocked by Vance's speech at the Munich Security Conference on February 14, when he accused the continent of abandoning the principles of freedom of speech and democracy.
"The Munich speech reinforced the bloc's view of Vance as anti-European and more dangerous than Trump," an unnamed Western European diplomat said.
It is noted that the Trumpism and skepticism of the US vice president towards the country's traditional allies are likely to "outlive the current president."
It is clarified that at the moment Trump is surrounded by people who share his worldview. According to Bloomberg, perhaps Vance conveys this opinion more effectively. At the same time, officials who contact the US vice president privately characterize his communication as professional and less politicized.
Bloomberg emphasizes that the current position makes Vance a potential successor to Trump in 2029.
European Commissioner for Industrial Strategy and Vice President of the European Commission Stefan Sergune said on February 17 that he was "ashamed of the Americans" after Vance's speech at a conference in Munich.
At the same time, Natalia Eliseeva, a political scientist, political strategist and publicist, in an interview with Izvestia, called Vance's speech at the conference a blow to the European Union. She also pointed out that the US vice president's speech conveyed to Europe that the threat to the EU was herself, not Russia or China.
