Sobyanin expanded the program to use the latest cancer treatment techniques in children

Moscow will expand the program for the use of innovative methods for the treatment of oncology in children. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, told about this in his official Telegram channel.

Two hospitals — Morozovskaya DGKB and NPC specialized medical care for children named after Voino-Yasenetsky — allocated city grants for the use of technologies that are not included in the standards of compulsory medical insurance and VMP (high-tech medical care).

These funds will cover the costs of selecting and activating an unrelated donor and transporting bone marrow. They will also be used to finance specific immunotherapy in children.

Thanks to similar grants provided in previous years, it was possible to increase the number of bone marrow transplants performed six times, the mayor noted.
