In India, it is possible to start production of fifth-generation Su-57E fighters in a short time with a positive decision from New Delhi. This was announced by Rosoboronexport on March 7.

"In case of a positive decision by the Indian side <... In a short time, it is possible to start production of the Russian fifth-generation fighter Su—57E," the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that production is planned to be carried out at factories where Su-30MKI fighters are manufactured, of which HAL Corporation has currently produced more than 220 units under a contract with Rosoboronexport.

It is specified that the Russian side is ready to implement a modernization program for the Su-30MKI fleet of the Indian Air Force (IAF). It is planned to involve Indian industrial enterprises in this.

According to Rosoboronexport, an increase in the combat capabilities of the Su-30MKI can be achieved through the integration of new types of aircraft weapons, as well as the improvement of on-board equipment systems.

On February 18, Russian Defense Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India Vinay Kumar signed an agreement to simplify cooperation between the two countries' defense ministries in organizing joint events. During the meeting, the parties also noted the importance of the signed document for cooperation in the military field.
