- The media reported on the proposal of the US Chamber of Commerce to lift some of the sanctions against Russia

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has proposed lifting a number of sanctions in the fields of investment, aviation, finance and imports against Russia. This was announced on March 7 by Robert Agee, President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia.
He noted that a report is currently being prepared for the American government, which will provide an analysis of the problems faced by American companies over the past three years.
"First of all, we ask for the lifting of sanctions in the aviation sector.: This applies to the supply of spare parts and technical support for aircraft," Agee said in an interview with RBC.
The second and third places in the list of proposals are the lifting of restrictions on investments in Russia and the lifting of sanctions against Russian banks. In fourth place, Agee mentioned the need to lift restrictions on the supply of luxury goods, including cosmetics. He called such sanctions strange and noted that they had led to a loss of market share for many companies in this segment.
The Reuters news agency reported on March 3 that the White House is studying plans for a possible lifting of sanctions against Russia. According to sources, the agencies are currently preparing a proposal to lift restrictions on certain legal entities and individuals so that US representatives can discuss it with their Russian counterparts in the coming days as part of negotiations to improve diplomatic and economic relations.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov recalled on March 4 that so far no one in the US administration has made official statements that Washington is going to lift sanctions against Moscow.
