In Romania, law enforcement officials suspect 101-year-old retired Major General Radu Theodora of plotting a coup d'etat. This was reported on March 6 by Europa Liberă România.
According to the newspaper, the National Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) suspects six people, including a major general. As the authors of the material found out, it was he who led the group, which positioned itself as a legitimate organization developing as a military structure.
It is noted that Theodora was not detained, but his daughter reported on social media that investigators had visited him.
On February 19, the Spanish police, together with Europol, eliminated a network that allegedly laundered money received as a result of organized crime. 14 people were detained who provided services for laundering several million euros per month for criminal groups from Albania, Serbia, Armenia, China, Ukraine, Colombia and Mokromafia (criminal organizations consisting of people of predominantly Moroccan origin).
