Orban pointed to the global isolation of the European Union

It is not Hungary that is isolated, but the European Union itself, which has distanced itself from the United States, China and Russia. This was announced on March 6 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. A recording of his appeal was posted on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).
"I think the concept of isolation is more relevant for the European Union itself. In fact, he isolated himself from the United States, from China because of the trade war and from Russia because of sanctions. I think if anyone is really isolated, it's the EU, Hungary has good relations with all three, so we are not isolated at all," he commented.
Orban also stated that there is a low probability that the EU countries will bypass Hungary's position.
"In my opinion, if the abyss begins two steps away from me, then bypassing us is not a very smart decision," the Hungarian Prime Minister stressed.
Shortly before that, it became known that the EU summit on March 6 decided to reorient the European Investment Bank to finance military programs.
