Soldiers of the Cossack regiment hit the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with drones in the border area of the Kursk region

Drone operators of the Guards airborne assault Don Cossack Regiment from Feodosia discovered and attacked a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of the Kursk region. This was announced on March 7 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"During aerial reconnaissance of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an unmanned aerial vehicle operator detected an accumulation of enemy personnel at the stronghold. Having transferred the locations of the targets to the operators of the group's attack UAVs, the paratroopers continued to monitor the enemy's movement, thereby correcting the work of the drone operators," the military department said.

It is clarified that subsequently, the Ukrainian military who fled from the positions were overtaken and attacked by drones of the Russian Armed Forces in forest plantations.

"Paratroopers daily use unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor the enemy in real time, track their movements, adjust rocket and barrel artillery strikes, and direct FPV drones at enemy targets," the Defense Ministry concluded.

On March 6, the Ministry of Defense announced that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the day amounted to more than 170 soldiers in the Kursk area. In addition, units of the North group of forces defeated Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the areas of the settlements of Goncharovka, Gornal, Zaoleshenka, Kazachya Loknya, Kurilovka, First Prince, Lebedevka, Malaya Loknya, Makhnovka, Rubanshchina, Staraya Sorochina and Sudzha during offensive operations. Three enemy counterattacks were also repelled.
