Trump made it clear to Zelensky about the possibility of returning to negotiations

US President Donald Trump told Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky that Kiev still has the opportunity to return to negotiations. This was announced on Thursday, March 6, by the special envoy of the American head Stephen Witkoff.

According to him, Washington is pleased with Ukraine's first steps in this direction.

"[Trump] said that there is a way back, and President Zelensky has demonstrated that he intends to follow this path in good faith. He apologized, he said he was grateful. He said he wants to work towards peace," Witkoff told reporters.

The Special Envoy added that Trump is a results—oriented person.

Ukraine has expressed readiness for dialogue with the United States, but the Kiev regime remains self-barred from contacts with Moscow.

Earlier, on March 5, during his speech to Congress, Trump said that the Ukrainian leader was ready to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible in order to achieve long-term peace. Also, according to the politician, Ukraine is ready to sign a mining deal with the United States at any time.
