On March 6, Jordan Bardella, the leader of the National Association, a member of the European Parliament (EP), spoke out against the deployment of French troops in Ukraine on the CNews TV channel.

"I am against the deployment of French troops on the territory of Ukraine," he said.

According to Bardell, if a decision is made to create a buffer zone in Ukraine, the UN blue Helmets will have to control it.

The MEP stressed that French President Emmanuel Macron needs to be "extremely careful in choosing the wording."

"If you hold the post of president of the republic <...> should you show incontinence and thus cause concern to the French, explaining to them that they will potentially find themselves in a state of war with another nuclear power? I think it's very dangerous," he commented.

On March 5, Macron said in his address to the nation that he intends to discuss the use of nuclear weapons in order to protect the entire European Union (EU). He also called on the association to provide itself with the largest amount of military equipment and to increase its defense capabilities "in the name of peace itself."
