Orban pointed to the absence of an EU agreement on financing Ukraine

The leaders of European countries have not yet reached an agreement on financing Ukraine during the EU summit in Brussels. This was announced on March 6 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
"The Americans have stopped supporting Ukraine. A significant part of Europeans would like to take the place of Americans. There is no agreement," he wrote.
According to him, the debate continues. Orban also added that there is no agreement yet, but it is "looming."
On March 4, Reuters reported that the White House officially confirmed the suspension of US military assistance to Ukraine. The pause will last until Trump sees how the leaders of the Ukrainian side "demonstrate a good-faith commitment to peace."
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, in turn, noted on March 5 that Washington could resume arms supplies to Kiev if an agreement on rare earth metals was signed. He expressed the opinion that, against the background of its decision, the American administration wants to see how Ukraine will behave.
