The President of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev, is in a medical facility in Vladikavkaz. On March 6, Natalia Bosikova, the press secretary of the leader, told Izvestia.
According to media reports, Gagloev was hospitalized with a suspected heart attack. However, the spokeswoman declined to comment on his state of health.
"Doctors are taking care of him. He went to Vladikavkaz, and is currently undergoing a medical examination," Bosikova said.
Earlier, on February 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Gagloev on his birthday. According to the press service of the President of the Transcaucasian republic, in the text of the telegram, the Russian leader noted Gagloev's commitment to strengthening allied relations between the countries.
