The conflict in Ukraine is now in a decisive phase due to the suspension of military aid from the United States. This was announced on March 6 by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius after a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov.

"The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for the fourth year, and I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that it is now in a decisive phase. And not least because the United States has practically reduced its support," Pistorius said.

On March 4, Reuters reported that the White House officially confirmed the suspension by the United States of military assistance to the Ukrainian side. The pause will last until American President Donald Trump sees how Ukraine's leaders "demonstrate a good-faith commitment to peace."

Later, on March 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that the suspension of military aid to Ukraine from the United States could help quickly end the Ukrainian conflict.
