On March 6, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responding to a question from Izvestia, called the methods of recruiting into the Ukrainian army a "crisis of the genre."
"They probably can't even scrape together those who are lured by supposedly free contracts. But we understand the methods they use to recruit eighteen—year-olds," she said.
