Putin will posthumously present the "Golden Star" to the widow of battalion commander Chebnev

The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will present the Hero of the Russian Federation star to the widow of the battalion commander of the 9th Regiment, Sergei Chebnev, who died in the Kursk region. This was announced on March 6 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during a briefing.

"The President will meet with Olga Alexandrovna Chebneva in his office. This is Sergei Chebnev's widow. Putin will present the widow with the Golden Star of the Hero of the Russian Federation posthumously," Peskov said.

Sergei Chebnev died on August 18 last year while defending the village of Malaya Loknya in the Kursk region.
