The scheme of illegal trade in black caviar was revealed in the Khabarovsk Territory

Six members of a criminal group are awaiting trial in the Khabarovsk Territory, accused of illegally acquiring, storing and transporting especially valuable biological resources, as well as two carriers of caviar and biological resources. The investigation revealed a scheme of illegal transportation of black caviar from the Khabarovsk Territory to Moscow and its trade.

It was established that a resident of the Moscow region offered a friend to illegally purchase caviar of sturgeon fish in the Khabarovsk Territory, and then sell it in Moscow. Later, five more people joined the group. They bought more than 332 kg of black caviar for an amount exceeding 3.4 million rubles.

In October 2023, the organizer of the criminal group agreed with two men to transport caviar from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to Moscow. Boxes of caviar weighing about 268 kg, fish parts weighing more than 745 kg, as well as 397 kg of caviar from another criminal group were placed in one car. The attackers delivered the cargo to the territory of Khabarovsk, but were detained there by law enforcement officers.

The materials of the criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor have been submitted to the court for consideration on the merits, writes IA AmurMedia.

In December 2024, it was reported that 260 kg of black caviar was seized from poachers in the Khabarovsk Territory. 310 kg of sturgeon fish were also found in the attackers' possession. The footage shows a car from which security forces unload containers with caviar and bags of fish. The detainees had no documents for the products.
