The European Union (EU) is looking for ways to circumvent Hungary's objections at the summit on Ukraine. This was reported on March 6 by the agency Bloomberg with reference to sources.

"The leaders plan to enter the room in order to bring [Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor] Orban on board from the very beginning," the unnamed officials shared.

Another source noted that this has little chance of success. Informed persons also reported that during a closed-door discussion of the EU envoys on March 4, Hungary questioned the financing plans. At the same time, Orban called the differences over EU support for Ukraine insurmountable.

It is also specified that the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, will try to find a consensus with Orban during the summit. At the same time, it is noted that in case of failure, the association will focus on ways to bypass the Hungarian side.

Katarzyna Pisarska, chairman of the Warsaw Security Conference, in turn, said that the search for a way to deal with Orban "is becoming existential for the European Union."

The EU summit, which will discuss the conflict in Ukraine and the security of Europe, will be held on March 6 in Brussels.
